Book Metadata

Usually, Rodel Reader can read some basic information from some books (such as EPUB), such as its title or cover.

But if you want the book to display richer information, like the image below:

Then you need to edit the book metadata.

Steps

1. Right-click (long press on touch screen) the book entry and select properties from the pop-up menu.

You can see that the metadata of a book is now blank, with nothing but the title.

2. Click the Get Metadata button in the lower left corner

Rodel Reader has several built-in data sources, including DouBan, Google Books, QiDian, and FanQie, which basically cover common books/web novels, making it easy to find corresponding book data based on the title.

3. Select the specified book information and click Extract metadata in the upper left corner

Then the book metadata is filled out, and you can edit it further to improve it.
